Itinerary Idea In Detail

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. You will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. After checking in and relaxing, you can spend the afternoon exploring Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its ancient temples, palaces, and courtyards. In the evening, take a leisurely walk around Thamel, a vibrant tourist district with shops, restaurants, and cafes. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2 - Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today, you’ll explore more of Kathmandu. Start with a visit to the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), a hilltop stupa offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Next, visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in Nepal, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. Afterward, head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal, which is a center of Tibetan Buddhism. In the afternoon, visit Patan Durbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage site, with temples, shrines, and beautiful courtyards. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3 - Kathmandu to Pokhara

After breakfast, depart for Pokhara (approximately 6-7 hours drive or 25-minute flight). Pokhara is a scenic city known for its lakes, mountains, and outdoor activities. Upon arrival, relax by Phewa Lake or take a boat ride on the lake to visit Tal Barahi Temple on an island. You can also enjoy the panoramic views of the Annapurna Range from the lakeside. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 4 - Pokhara Sightseeing

Begin your day early with a visit to Sarangkot for a sunrise view of the Himalayas, including Mount Machapuchare (Fishtail) and the Annapurna range. Afterward, visit Devi’s Fall and Gupteshwor Cave, which are located close to each other. Then, head to World Peace Pagoda, a stunning stupa that offers a bird’s eye view of the Pokhara valley and Phewa Lake. In the afternoon, you can visit the International Mountain Museum to learn about mountaineering history and the region’s famous peaks. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 5 - Pokhara to Chitwan

Today, travel to Chitwan National Park (approximately 5 hours by road). Upon arrival, check-in at your resort and relax. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance by the local Tharu people. The evening is free for leisure, and you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the park. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 6 - Chitwan National Park Activities

Start the day early with an exciting jungle safari in Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich biodiversity. You’ll explore the park by jeep or canoe, spotting wildlife such as one-horned rhinoceroses, Bengal tigers, leopards, and a variety of bird species. You may also take a nature walk with a park guide to learn about the flora and fauna of the region. In the afternoon, visit the Tharu village to experience the local culture. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 7 - Chitwan to Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu (approximately 5-6 hours). Upon arrival, you can relax and explore any sights you may have missed earlier, or visit some of the local markets to pick up souvenirs. You could also visit Garden of Dreams, a peaceful historic garden, or explore Patan if you didn’t visit it on Day 2. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner at one of Kathmandu’s renowned restaurants, with a cultural performance. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 8 - Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast at the hotel, check out the hotel and proceed to airport to board your flight back to your return journey.
